Issued by the Archdiocese of Cardiff on Friday 19 October 2012
The Most Rev George Stack, the Archbishop of Cardiff, is shocked and saddened by the tragic events which took place in the City of Cardiff late on Friday afternoon.
He said:
“I extend my sympathy and prayers to those who have been injured and bereaved, and to all who have been directly affected by these events.
“These events remind me of the words of Pope Benedict XVI, ‘We are all the city. The dividing line between good and evil in the city goes straight through the heart of each one of us.’”
Archbishop Stack has asked that prayers be said on Sunday 21 October in churches throughout the Archdiocese of Cardiff for all those who have suffered.
