Pope Francis has sent a message ahead of the Proclaim’ 15 national conference assuring all those present of his “spiritual closeness and prayers” as they reflect on the call to be missionary disciples.
The Holy Father was pleased to be informed of the National Evangelisation Conference Proclaim’ 15 to be held in Birmingham on 11 July 2015.
He assures all of those present of his spiritual closeness and prayers as they reflect on the call to be missionary disciples. Your assembly is an important occasion, not only to reflect on programmes of evangelization, but to rekindle within all the faithful the love and joy which flows from personally encountering the Lord Jesus.
His Holiness encourages all gathered to open anew their hearts to Christ, so that they in turn may revitalise their parishes, forming each to be “a community of communities, a sanctuary where the thirsty come to drink in the midst of their journey, and a centre of constant missionary outreach” (Evangelii Gaudium 28).
Commending all gathered to the intercession of Mary, Mother of the Church, Pope Francis willingly imparts his Apostolic Blessing as a pledge of peace and strength in the Lord.
