Pope Benedict XVI’s latest apostolic exhortation, “Verbum Domini” was published by the Vatican on 11 November 2010.
In it, the Holy Father highlights the importance of the Word of God in living our personal vocations. The word of God, he said, “calls each one of us personally, revealing that life itself is a vocation from God.” The document draws from the 12th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, held Oct. 5-26, 2008. The assembly reflected on the theme “The Word of God in the Life and Mission of the Church.”
