The Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, has appointed Monsignor John Arnold, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Westminster, as Auxiliary Bishop of Westminster assigning him the titular see of Lindisfarne.
Monsignor Arnold was born on 12 June 1953 and was ordained to the priesthood on 16 July 1983.
