The Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, has appointed Canon David Christopher McGough, Episcopal vicar for Walsall, Wolverhampton, Black Country and Worcestershire, as Auxiliary Bishop of Birmingham, assigning him the title see of Cunavia.
Canon McGough was born on 20 November 1944 and ordained to the priesthood on 14 March 1970.
