The Jews grumble about Jesus for saying he is “the bread that came down from heaven.” Harder still for them to fathom, Jesus says that the bread that he gives for the life of the world is his flesh.
“For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.”
