Our new seasonal podcast series telling the Advent story using four paintings from the National Gallery’s world-famous collection begins today (28 November).
Each Sunday in Advent we join two culturally immersed priests who offer a thought-provoking insight into the works.
Father Christopher Whitehead, the Clifton Diocese’s Director of Adult Education is joined in conversation by Dr James Hanvey SJ, Director of the Heythrop Institute for Religion, Ethics and Public Life and an expert in art and culture.
On the First Sunday of Advent Fathers Whitehead and Hanvey are looking at Carlo Crivelli’s 1486 painting ‘The Annunciation with Saint Emidius’.
