Bishop Emeritus of Arundel and Brighton

The Right Reverend Kieran Conry was the fourth Bishop of Arundel and Brighton.

Born in Coventry in 1951, Bishop Conry was ordained to the priesthood on 19 July 1975. He was ordained bishop on 9 June 2001.

From 1994 to 2001, Monsignor Conry was Director of the Catholic Media Office – the press office of the Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales.

He was Chair of the Bishops’ Conference Department of Evangelisation and Catechesis and was the Church’s Bishop for Youth. He also sat on the Mixed Commission of the Conference of Religious.

He resigned on 27 September 2014.
