Plymouth

The Diocese of Plymouth, created in 1850, covers almost the whole of south-west England, serving Catholics in the counties of Devon, Dorset and Cornwall - including the Isles of Scilly.

This part of England is primarily rural with many market towns and a real sense of local identity, but the beautiful countryside and coast attracts great numbers of visitors, many of whom share in the faith of the local Catholic communities. Each year people encounter these communities of faith and want to belong by joining the Catholic Church.

The Diocesan Administrator is Canon Paul Cummins.
