The ‘Arab Awakening’ in the Middle East North Africa region came under the spotlight at the recent Conference of European Justice and Peace Commissions at their annual international workshop held in Malta from 14-16 September 2012.
The meeting, organised by the European network that draws together the 30 national Justice and Peace commissions of the continent’s Bishops’ Conferences, looked at the revolutions in the MENA region and particularly human dignity, freedom from violence and the impact of migration to Europe.
