Bishop Paul Hendricks, Auxiliary Bishop of Southwark and co-chair of the UK’s Christian-Muslim Forum spoke to Vatican Radio’s Philippa Hitchen about why it’s more important than ever for people of all faiths and none to stand together in the face of the London Bridge, Manchester and Finsbury Park Mosque attacks.
Bishop Hendrcks said he had visited Finsbury Park Mosque regularly in recent years – most recently last Wednesday, 14 June, for an Iftar celebration, marking the breaking of the Ramadan fast.
He recalled the celebration was also attended by political leaders, other church representatives and members of the police and emergency services.
