The Right Reverend Thomas McMahon is the Bishop Emeritus of Brentwood. Born in Dorking, Surrey in June 1936, Bishop McMahon was ordained to the priesthood in November 1959.

Bishop McMahon is a member of the Department of Christian Life and Worship.

He has been the Vice-President of Pax Christi since 1987, the International Catholic Movement for Peace, and is a founder member of the Movement for Christian Democracy. He is also a Vice-President of the Friends of Cathedral Music.
