Ordinary of the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham

Mgr Keith Newton is the Ordinary of the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham. Born in Liverpool in April 1952, Mgr Newton was ordained to the Anglican priesthood in 1976. He was ordained an Anglican bishop on 7 March 2002 serving as Suffragan Bishop of Richborough and Provincial Episcopal Visitor in the Province of Canterbury 2002-2010.

He was ordained to the Catholic priesthood at Westminster Cathedral on 15 January 2011 by Archbishop Vincent Nichols. On the same day he was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI as the first Ordinary of the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham.
