Nicholas Hudson

The Right Reverend Nicholas Hudson is an Auxiliary Bishop for the Diocese of Westminster.

Born in Hammersmith, London, on 14 February 1959, Bishop Hudson was ordained to the priesthood on 19 July 1986 for the Archdiocese of Southwark.

Having served, for four years, as an assistant priest in the Parish of St Thomas of Canterbury, Bishop Hudson was made Director of the Southwark Christian Education Centre (1992-2000).

In 2000 he was appointed Vice-Rector of the Venerable English College in Rome - the seminary in which he studied. He was then appointed Rector in 2004, a position he held for nine years until, in 2013, it was announced he would become parish priest of one of the largest parishes in England - Sacred Heart in Wimbledon.

Bishop Hudson was ordained an Auxiliary Bishop for the Diocese of Westminster in the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Most Precious Blood on 4 June 2014.
